Conner High School Band and Orchestra

Conner High School Symphonic Band

The Conner Symphonic Band  performs four concerts every school year. The Symphonic Band also performs at the Conner High School Commencement Ceremony. Under the direction of Chris Peterson for the past 19 years, The Conner High School Concert Band consistently receives Distinguished ratings at Concert Festival. As well as, qualifies every year and performs, every two years, for the State Concert Band Festival where they also receive Distinguished ratings.

In 1999 the Conner High School Symphonic Band performed at the Heritage Music Festival in Toronto, Canada.  Then, they received 1st place at the Music in the Parks in Gatlinburg, TN in 2005. Finally, in 2006 the group received the Exemplary Ensemble Award at the KMEA District 6 Concert Festival.

The Conner High School Symphonic Band is very enjoyable and entertaining.  Through the program students make many close friends and become better musicians.  Although, it can be hard work band members make memories and friends that will last forever.
